This reminds me of a conversation I had with my youngest sister. Essentially, women are our own worst enemies. There is a little too much petty hate going around. Though I did chuckle a tad because I have been guilty of pooh-poohing a couple of the women on these lists for completely facile reasons.

What I love about the web is that I’m becoming more aware of the things happening in my city. One of which is the annual Beer & Boar BBQ hosted at the Alley Kat brewery. I spent it in good company: my husband, a couple of Edmonton’s best bloggers, Sharon and Mack, as well as the well-traveled and gastronomically inclined Jim and Elaine.
In short, it was a great way to spend the afternoon despite the wind whipping food and hair about. The only real caveat being the scenery: industrial Edmonton.
Because I’m an awful blogger and I forget to take pictures after cooking, all I can do is point to the recipe that I used. This food blogger is super cute and fun to watch, and the recipe is so easy and accessible.
Tuna salad beyond the regular mush we’re used to. As a lover of sashimi, this was a great mix of seared tuna and interesting greens.
